On September 21, at the World Manufacturing Convention 2026 in Hefei, Loongson Technology officially released its new-generation computing platform combining IT innovation and AI, aiming to solve the computing-power and security pain points of industrial digital transformation with fully self-developed core technologies.
One day earlier, the China Information Technology Security Evaluation Center published its Security and Reliability Evaluation Results (Announcement No. 3 of 2026), in which multiple Loongson products were listed: the Loongson 3A6000 (C) received the current highest Level III rating in the PC processor category — the only processor in that field to do so; the Loongson 3C3000 earned the same Level III rating among server processors; and in the printer-processor category, the Loongson 2P0300 and 2P0500 became the only products to obtain the top Level II rating. With its broad chip portfolio, Loongson had the largest number of listed products in this announcement.
Loongson is the only domestic CPU vendor committed to building an independent information-industry system on a self-developed instruction set: it develops chips on its own IP cores, builds a software ecosystem around its proprietary LoongArch architecture, and organizes chip production around domestic processes — a technology stack independent of both Wintel and Arm-plus-Android.
The convergence of IT innovation and AI is reshaping how industries select computing platforms: a proprietary instruction set delivers control, security evaluation delivers trust, and an AI computing platform delivers usability. Together, they signal that domestic processors are moving from specific scenarios such as government offices toward core scenarios in manufacturing and beyond, offering a new reference for domestic solutions in embedded and edge computing.
