In April 2026, Advantech’s Embedded Design Forum (ADF 2026) concluded successfully in Taiwan. Under the theme “AI Empowering the Edge, Industrial Transformation in Full Swing,” the forum brought together hundreds of industry representatives from semiconductors, industrial automation, robotics, and smart cities to explore the latest trends and deployment paths for Edge AI and Physical AI.
During the forum, Advantech highlighted its full-stack embedded solutions spanning the chip, board, and system layers. At the chip partnership level, Advantech maintains deep collaborations with Rockchip, NVIDIA, and Intel. Embedded core board solutions based on the RK3588 and RK3576 platforms have already achieved large-scale deployment in industrial vision and edge gateway scenarios. Advantech emphasized that with the explosive growth of on-device computing demand, embedded computing is evolving from traditional “data acquisition and transmission” toward “real-time inference and decision-making.”
Notably, this year’s forum featured a dedicated Physical AI track. As the key technology bridging digital intelligence and the physical world, Physical AI is driving transformation across robotics, autonomous driving, and smart factories. Advantech showcased multiple edge AI inference platforms equipped with high-performance NPU modules, capable of completing complex tasks such as object detection and semantic segmentation locally, significantly reducing reliance on cloud computing power.
For the embedded core board and industrial control sectors, the signal from Advantech is clear: Edge AI has moved from the proof-of-concept stage into large-scale commercial deployment. Over the next three to five years, embedded platforms with AI acceleration capabilities will become standard equipment in industrial control, smart manufacturing, and intelligent transportation.
