On October 30, on the floor of RISC-V Summit China 2026, Andes Technology (TWSE: 6533) — a leading supplier of high-performance, low-power 32/64-bit RISC-V processor cores and a founding Premier Member of RISC-V International — announced it has presented its ‘Partner of the Year’ award to Parasoft, a provider of automated software-testing solutions for safety-critical applications, in recognition of Parasoft’s outstanding contribution to enriching the RISC-V software ecosystem. The two companies will continue deepening the RISC-V automotive software ecosystem together.
On the technical side, Parasoft C/C++test is deeply connected with Andes’ AndeSight® integrated development environment (IDE), enabling embedded developers to seamlessly run static code analysis (with full support for MISRA C/C++, AUTOSAR C++14, and CERT C/C++), unit testing, code-coverage analysis, and runtime error detection within their daily workflow — helping teams building on AndesCore® processors accelerate compliance with the ISO 26262 automotive functional-safety and IEC 61508 industrial-safety standards, up to ASIL D. Andes President and CTO Dr. Hong-Rong Su noted that as RISC-V rapidly spreads across automotive, industrial, and safety-critical domains, software reliability and strict safety compliance have become central to success. By the end of 2025, cumulative shipments of Andes-Embedded® SoCs had surpassed 20 billion units.
From an industry perspective, the partnership reflects a migration in where the RISC-V industry competes: as instruction-set and processor-core hardware converge, the battle for ecosystem position is shifting toward safety-critical software toolchains. The automotive market carries high compliance gates in ISO 26262 and ASPICE — whoever can make RISC-V development flows natively embed compliance capability holds the ticket to automotive and industrial markets. Infineon has already committed its next-generation automotive MCUs to RISC-V, and with the RVA23 profile unifying the application-processor ecosystem, RISC-V is pushing from MCUs and embedded designs into high-value automotive domains such as ADAS, in-vehicle infotainment (IVI), and powertrain systems. Deeply coupling testing tools with the IDE is, in essence, converting ‘compliance cost’ into ‘ecosystem stickiness.’
For Junyi Microelectronics, the maturing RISC-V automotive software ecosystem adds a new dimension to chip selection: customers of the J-3568/J-3576/J-3588 core boards and K-series edge-AI motherboards include safety-sensitive industrial and rail scenarios, and with RISC-V’s ecosystem now backed by ISO 26262/IEC 61508-grade toolchains, open-ISA options become markedly more viable in industrial control. The software delivery of the 5G-EDGE-3399Pro and AI-BOX-3588 edge-computing hosts and the IPC-i5-1235U industrial mini-PC likewise emphasizes long-term maintainability and verifiability — the spread of static analysis, unit testing, and coverage tools will raise the quality baseline of complete-system firmware. Junyi also keeps tracking the adoption of safety coding standards such as MISRA and CERT in embedded delivery, folding them into the software quality process of products including its touch-panel all-in-one machines.
