Tronlong Unveils Chip-Swappable ARM Industrial PC at CIIF: One Chassis, Four Domestic SoCs, Expandable to 32 TOPS

2026-10-25 Industry Insights

At the China International Industry Fair (CIIF) 2026, which opened on October 12 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, Tronlong Technology headlined three flagship products and more than ten industry solutions. The standout: a “flexible chip-swap” ARM industrial PC whose single chassis supports different domestic processors — RK3588, RK3576, RK3562 and T153 — with AI compute expandable up to 32 TOPS.

On-site materials describe a palm-sized industrial PC that nonetheless expands to 5x LAN, 10x UART and 16x DIDO, offered in multiple ready-made configurations; it has passed EMC testing and earned CE, FCC and RoHS certifications for out-of-the-box deployment. Beyond the host SoC’s integrated NPU (6 TOPS on the RK3588), additional AI acceleration cards can lift total compute to 32 TOPS for on-site machine vision and lightweight LLM inference. The design logic addresses a core industry pain point: industrial equipment serves five to ten years while AI and machine-vision algorithms iterate quickly — a chip-swappable architecture lets machines keep pace without repeated board respins.

From an industry perspective, “flexible chip-swap” and modularization are emerging as a new competitive axis in the industrial PC market. Decoupling the chassis from the compute answers industrial customers’ twin demands for long lifecycle and rapid AI evolution; multi-SoC compatibility also hedges single-chip supply-chain risk — domestic processors from Rockchip and the T153 are forming a complementary multi-route landscape in industrial control, giving device makers more room on BOM cost and supply security. Meanwhile, shrinking form factors and international certifications show domestic ARM industrial PCs accelerating into high-end manufacturing equipment and overseas markets.

Junyi Microelectronics’ J-series system-on-modules use a standardized “SoM plus baseboard” architecture with the same “swap the module, keep the baseboard” upgrade path: the J-3588, J-3576 and J-3568 span high, mid and entry compute tiers, with baseboards customizable for GbE port count, serial interfaces, DIO and more. K-series edge intelligent mainboards and compact industrial PCs undergo rigorous EMC and wide-temperature reliability validation, giving customers evolutionary headroom and long-term supply assurance from a single design-in.
