Rockchip recently released its 2026 semi-annual report, revealing operating revenue of RMB 2.877 billion in the first half, up 40.60% year-over-year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 859 million, up 61.73% year-over-year—both hitting record highs for the same period. Behind this outstanding performance, the rapid ramp-up of edge AI (AIoT 2.0) demand has emerged as the core growth driver.
From a product structure perspective, AIoT computing platforms including the RK3588, RK3576, and RV11 series continued their high-growth trajectory, penetrating deeper into verticals such as industrial automation, automotive electronics, robotics, and machine vision. Meanwhile, the RK182X series edge AI coprocessor launched in July 2025 successfully entered mass production, rapidly gaining traction across dozens of industries and hundreds of customers, with the first batch of end products already entering the launch and mass-production phases.
Notably, despite the severe challenges of surging global memory prices and tight upstream raw material supply in the first half of 2026, Rockchip achieved robust counter-cyclical growth thanks to its AIoT platform layout and customer ecosystem advantages. The company stated that the evolution of AI agents is pushing artificial intelligence from passive response to proactive service, and the local processing capability of edge AI—without consuming cloud tokens—will accelerate the large-scale deployment of edge AI.
Looking ahead to the second half of the year, Rockchip expects new products such as the RK182X and RK3572 to further expand into application markets, while accelerating the mass production of new RK18-series coprocessors and RK36-series flagship chips, positioning itself with a comprehensive AIoT chip platform to embrace the edge AI wave.
