Industrial Edge AI Deployment Accelerates: Rockchip Dual-Chip Solution Powers Industrial Inspection and LLM Workstations

2026-10-11 Industry Insights

At the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC), two industrial edge computing devices showcased by Rockchip attracted significant industry attention. The Gling Deep GBox multimodal industrial inspection edge device and the Wanwu Zongheng DA600 large-model workstation both adopt the RK3588 main controller paired with the RK1828 AI coprocessor dual-chip architecture, marking that the large-scale deployment of on-device large models in industrial scenarios has entered a substantive phase.

The Gling Deep GBox focuses on factory industrial inspection scenarios, relying on on-device local large models to achieve rapid SKU switching and millimeter-level defect identification. The solution supports plug-and-play deployment without production line modification, accompanied by natural language interaction and data closed-loop self-evolution capabilities, substantially lowering the barrier for deploying AI inspection on production lines. For manufacturing customers, this means the ability to deploy AI inspection capabilities without large-scale改造 existing production lines.

The Wanwu Zongheng DA600 workstation adapts to composite scenarios such as machine vision, intelligent conferencing, and multi-station industrial inspection. This product natively supports parallel expansion with multiple RK182X modules, offering out-of-the-box functionality and compatibility with rapid secondary development in Python and C++, capable of adapting to complex industrial deployment environments. Its modular design philosophy aligns closely with Junyi Microelectronics’ product concepts in the embedded core board domain.

The solutions demonstrated by Rockchip at WAIC indicate that the “SoC main controller + AI coprocessor” dual-track development strategy is bearing fruit in the industrial sector. Compared to traditional solutions relying solely on cloud inference, on-device deployment offers significant advantages including data remaining on-premises, low-latency response, and no cloud token consumption, making it particularly suitable for industrial scenarios with stringent data security and real-time requirements.
