Hygon’s First Industrial-Control CPU 14XX in the 1000 Series Debuts at Wuzhen, Named Among the Top 10 “Light of the Internet” Launch Achievements as Domestic Compute Moves Down to the Factory Floor

2026-11-05 Industry Insights

On November 2, the 2026 World Internet Conference (WIC) Wuzhen Summit opened. Haiguang Information unveiled its 14XX, the first industrial-control CPU in the 1000 series, and it was named among the “Light of Internet” Top 10 New Releases—the first computing chip ever selected since the award was established in 2022. The processor further completes Haicang’s computing footprint from cloud computing, to edge processing, and to on-site control.

Technology and product details

Based on Haicang’s self-developed C86 architecture, the industrial CPU 14XX adopts a multi-core, low-power design that balances graphics compute with wide-temperature adaptability. It integrates high-speed cache and a GPU module with hardware virtualization support, covering light industrial applications such as HMI, data acquisition and edge AI inference; it supports dual independent DP and HDMI outputs at up to 4K. It is compatible with DDR4 and DDR5 memory, supports 10 PCIe 4.0 lanes and multiple serial ports, and fits PLC control, sensor acquisition and machine-vision scenarios.

On reliability, the 14XX covers a wide temperature range of -40C to +105C, has a TDP as low as 10W, supports fanless cooling, runs 24/7 and offers a 10-year supply commitment. The chip also integrates SM2/SM3/SM4 cryptography engines with a trusted execution environment and secure boot. On software, Haicang has built an embedded software ecosystem with SDKs, real-time operating systems, development platforms, and industrial communication/security infrastructure supporting EtherCAT, Modbus, MQTT and OPC UA, plus intelligent secure PLC and large-scale intelligent secure DCS solutions.

From an industry perspective…

As industrial intelligence deepens, machine vision, equipment monitoring and local inference are moving onto the factory floor, demanding more real-time response, security and deployment adaptability from compute. Bringing computation close to the device and processing data on-site is becoming the foundation for AI to enter the physical world. As domestic CPUs extend from the cloud to on-site control, the window for localizing industrial PCs, edge hosts and embedded foundations is widening, giving system integrators richer “cloud-edge-device” compute combinations.

Junyi Microelectronics business relevance

Junyi Microelectronics builds on Rockchip platforms with J-series core boards (J-3568/J-3576/J-3588), K-series edge smart boards, the 5G-EDGE-3399Pro and AI-BOX-3588 edge compute hosts, the IPC-i5-1235U industrial mini PC and touch all-in-one PCs, covering on-site control, edge AI and data acquisition. As domestic industrial CPUs mature, they provide more options for diverse compute platforms and wide-temperature, long-lifecycle industrial delivery, giving complete machines and core boards a more flexible foundation for domestic projects.
