Zhuhai ZHONGHUI’s WTZ35 Power-Monitoring and Communication SoC Wins the 21st “China Chip” Outstanding Technological Innovation Product Award, Speeding Up Domestic SoCs for the Power IoT

2026-11-05 Industry Insights

On November 2, the 2026 “China Chip” Integrated Circuit Industry Promotion Conference and the 21st “China Chip” Outstanding Products Ceremony took place in the Hengqin Guangdong-Macau Deep Cooperation Zone. WTZ35, the power-monitoring and communication SoC self-developed by Zhuhai ZHONGHUI, a subsidiary of Wasion Group, won the “Outstanding Technological Innovation Product” award for its strong technical performance.

Technology and product details

The WTZ35 is a dedicated SoC for smart meters, distribution automation and power grid O&M. It delivers excellent power-line attenuation resistance and noise suppression, enabling reliable communication even in harsh channels. It integrates high-precision ADCs and higher-order filters to meter and monitor active, reactive and harmonic power as well as voltage and current, with strong data-analysis capability, providing a reliable integrated solution that makes distribution monitoring and control smaller and cheaper. The chip has been widely deployed in smart grids, charging stations and energy management.

From an industry perspective…

The “China Chip” award is one of the most authoritative honors in China’s IC industry. The event, themed “Smart Journey, Collaborative Coexistence,” was judged by a team led by academicians, evaluating each product on self-owned IP, technological innovation, industrialization and market prospects. As the power IoT increasingly demands integrated metering, switching and edge computing, domestic SoCs are moving from “usable” to “excellent,” forming an “integrated power chip” track that underpins smart grids and energy management with autonomy and reliability.

Junyi Microelectronics business relevance

Junyi Microelectronics’ edge computing hosts and industrial PCs can act as edge nodes for monitoring, data acquisition and on-site inference in power and energy management. Combined with domestic metering/communication SoCs and K-series edge intelligent motherboards, they enable a complete chain from edge data collection and processing to the cloud, providing an integrated edge foundation for emerging scenarios such as the power IoT.
